Ice cream in a baggie

Today after running a bunch of errands the kids were bored and needed something fun to do so I went to my list of summertime activities and realized we had everything to make ice cream in a baggie. They started getting cold so I sent them outside in the heat and boy did they love it! When you start to shake really hard it's almost like snow is falling off the bags and the kids thought that was really cool. Anyway, they loved it and ate it all up!

Materials Needed:
1 Tbsp Sugar
1/2 Cup Half-n-Half
1/4 tsp Vanilla
1/2 Cup Rock Salt or kosher salt works good
Ice
1 Pint Size Ziploc Bag
1 Gallon Size Ziploc Bag

Instructions:Combine the sugar, half-n-half, and vanilla in the pint size ziploc bag and seal tightly. Combine the ice and rock salt in the large ziploc bag. Place the small bag inside of the larger bag and seal. Shake the bag until the mixture turns into ice cream! This will take about 5 minutes. (You may want to wear gloves.) Add sprinkles, candy, nuts, or fruit and enjoy!

Please post one of your activities for summer and comment on my blog so I can see it!

Never heard of this before, but it looks like fun, so we'll probably try it before summer is out! Thanks for the idea!
