Tonight we went out to eat at Baja Jacks burrito shack in our town and as we were eating I noticed a familiar face at a table over by the window and it was Garth Brooks with one of his daughters. He had on a hat that was from our town's high school sports team and he also had on an OSU shirt. He was friendly to everyone that came and talked to him and then they quietly left the restaurant. He always seems so nice and friendly and never seems to mind signing autographs or getting his picture taken with fans and NEVER draws attention to himself. It always gives us a little thrill to spot him around town! Please leave a comment and tell me if you have spotted a famous person in your town!

I saw Garth Brooks in a store a few years back. While I did not talk to him (I didn't want to bother him), he noticed my curious look and smiled and waved. A few minutes later, some girls ran over to him and asked for his autograph. He was very courtious and kind.
He's in the Owasso Lowe's at least once a week. And when I was preggo with Ethan, him and Trisha were in the booth behind us at Ron's!! She's so pretty...and he is way nice.
He is one of the nicest people I know. He is in the office a lot. We had the honor to also meet Trisha, she's so sweet and beautiful! He even remembered Eli's 2nd b-day and sent him an autographed pic. of him and Trisha both for it b-day! Crazy huh?? So, yes he's so nice! We also want you all to come out to the house next week. : )
When I was waitressing at a local mexican food place about 7 1/2 years ago, I waited on Bo Derek. Funny thing is, when her "people" called to see if they could come eat I had no idea who she was. I thought to myself "you don't need to make reservations here so why in the world would these people call to see if some guy can come eat" :) I also got a polaroid with her.
I have seen Garth several times in Tulsa, once at Garden Ridge with Trisha and once just driving. Jennifer and the kids were with me. Kylan had just came from Korea. Garth remembered Makenzie from a meeting they had in Owasso. He was very interested in Kylan's story and wanted to hear it. He is so nice.
I also meet Reba one night. We lived in Bixby and it was snowing very hard, I ran to the grocery store to get some things. It was empty, except for 2 checkers myself and this other lady. I didn't know who she was, but I thought wow, that lady is pretty, she had long hair at that time and had a long beautiful fur coat on. We were in the freezer section looking at peas. When the checker came up to her and told her how much she loved her music. She was so sweet and spoke with both of us for several minutes. She was in Bixby as her childrens grandparents live there and she was there for Christmas with them. So we had a little visit over the frozen peas.
