One of our traditions every year that we really enjoy is decorating our Christmas tree together as a family. Makenzie and I usually set it up and Kevin puts up the lights then we all decorate it and talk about each ornament as we put them on the tree. I know many friends have these gorgeous trees with beautiful ornaments on them but ours is all a hodge podge of ornaments that the kids have made, that have been given to us by friends and family, we have some that were on our Grandparents trees before they went on to heaven, we have some from when we were children (I have one from the yr I was born), and when we go on vacation we always pick out a special ornament to remember our trip by. So, even though our tree may not be as beautiful as many of them are it's very sentimental to our family. Tell us about your tree or trees!

You're tree is beautiful!
it is lovely. i love the ribbon on it too. we enjoy putting all the ornaments we have collected or the kids have made.
YOU GO GIRL!!! Ours is a hodge podge also.....gives it HISTORY!!! I even have my very first ornament on it from when I was just a teenage babysitter. I just can't see making a theme tree.....no memories on it.
You have a beautiful tree! It reminds me of mine - a little hodge podge of everything & they each have a special memory.
I love the new blog background, BTW!
our tree is the same as well. all hodge podge. we dont have a decorating tradition yet because the kids argue about where what ornament should go and whose is whose. it is artificial and every year i put it up, do all the lights and decorating.(RICK refuses to decorate and says if it were up to him it wouldnt get done) i let the kids put the ornaments where they want until the arguing begins. then the next day i just move some ornaments if they are too close. the only tradition about our tree is every year everyone says how beautiful it is and then ask where we got it, and every year i say its fake and you asked last year...hahahahaa
your tree is beautiful and hodge podge is the best!!!!
