Have you ever found something in your town that you've never heard of? I've lived in the Tulsa area for over 20 years and my husband has lived here for over 30 years and neither of us has ever heard about the Elsing Museum at ORU. I research a lot of different things for our home school projects and when we were studying rocks and minerals this museum NEVER came up in my search engine. It's crazy because this was an AMAZING museum and it was all one man's collection, yes 1 man collected all of it by himself, we were astounded that he did this by himself. If you are in the Tulsa area and want to see some beautiful rocks and minerals then head over to ORU, you can also see the Prayer Gardens and the Prayer Tower plus those huge praying hands!

I agree with you Jenn! Who would have ever known this very COOL place was right here in our town? This great home school adventure teaches all kinds of things, doesn't it! LOVE the photo of The Hands.
