Mary is a workaholic in the city who is drawn to the mountains where she grew up. During a weekend visit, she rediscovers The Christmas Lodge where she spent many Christmases with her family growing up. The lodge has now become run-down, and it is Mary's wish to help restore it to its former glory. In the process, she discovers that God has a very special plan for her life.  This is an uplifting story about the importance of faith, family and the true holiday spirit.

Thomas Kinkade presents The Christmas Lodge and the cast is lead by Mary (Erin Karpluk-TVs "Being Erica") who decides to take the lodge by the horns to save it. Jack (Michael Shanks-TVs "Stargate") is the lodge builders' ancestor trying to keep it alive. Mary's sis Cathie is Victoria Banks, a 1st time acting role, but she also writes and sings 2 tunes for the film: "The Greatest Gift" & "You Believe in Angels". Good stuff with an abundance of beautiful scenic shots. You can almost feel the log fire crackling, aromatic, heat and it makes you want to head over and see if they have a room for you!  You can find this DVD at Wal-Mart and Amazon and are it's priced under $10.
